Celebrating fundraisers and crowdfunders who have achieved extraordinary feats for UK charities, the annual event has previously been described as “the most inspiring night of the year”. The evening was hosted by BBC Radio 1 presenters Jamie Laing and Matt Edmondson and a variety of celebrities.

White Light utilised the Roundhouse’s unique architecture to enhance the awards presentation with visual production elements. Designed to inspire others by celebrating outstanding examples of what people can do when driven by love, loss, or solidarity, the production solution needed to add gravitas to the occasion.
Working closely with Story Events’ vision, WL proposed a 1.5m mirror ball as the centrepiece. This created a celebratory atmosphere and a stunning visual effect within the space and on the livestream.

An array of moving lights was provided to bolster the venue’s existing lighting rig, adding a theatrical layer to heighten the on-stage presentations.
The video system was designed to create a spectacular experience for the in-room guests and provide a high-quality live stream for online viewers. The stage set incorporated a Desay 2.6mm pitch LED wall and a range of relay screens were distributed throughout to optimise sightlines.

Utilising a recent addition to WL’s broadcast technology equipment, the latest Panasonic cameras were used for live capture and streaming, with portable production units for live content vision mixing.
